Every Network Marketer & Direct Sales individual knows that "people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."

It's a given fact that people do not want to be sold, they simply want to buy!  People do not want to be recruited, they want to join!

After a career in Procurement and Information Technology for major companies including an engineering and construction firm and a chemical company, I decided it was time to look at a means of generating "at home" income.

My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and I refused to leave him in the hands of other people.  I wanted to be the one to stay at home with him for as long as he had to live!

However, I was fully aware of the fact that it takes income to survive and just what were we going to do at such a critical time in our lives?

The 1^st Phone Call

After much prayer and research, we received a phone call from some friends who knew the network marketing industry like the back of their hands!  They had an impeccable track record and also earned huge incomes by helping others secure their dreams and goals.

We did our due diligence (research) on the company and got started immediately.  Shortly thereafter we learned how focusing on a dream and helping others get what they want out of life would produce favorable results for us.

My Husband's Passing

Right in the middle of climbing this ladder, my husband fell ill.  He passed away and I was left with no spouse.  My best friend was gone and I was on my own!  What I began to realize is that my husband worked all of his life.  Although he experienced what being financially independent meant, his health was too poor to enjoy it.  We may have been educated about making money - but uneducated to being health conscientious.  It was then that I decided I would learn about chemically based medicines versus the natural approach.

When one door closes...

another one opens!  My schedule was heavy.  More and more people were taking a look at the opportunity.  I coached and mentored, trained and presented.  I was even awarded a position on the National Training Circuit, training people all over the U.S., training locally and giving presentations in and out of state.  At the same time, I was recognized as the TOP 25 Income Earner in the entire company.  I was always on a plane jetting somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't complain.  It was fun visiting places like Jamaica, Las Vegas, Cancun, cruising in the Bahamas, Chicago, Florida, and too many more to name.  While this company did offer great products, great income and lifestyle, something was still missing.

I missed Family and Home

All of a sudden, I realized I missed my second love, (my first one is God), and that was HOME!  My sole purpose for dismissing Corporate America was to be an Independent Business Owner,  doing what I wanted, when I wanted and how I wanted.  I slowly began to miss what I enjoyed the most, being with family and friends and mostly focusing on my Ministry.  One of the things I most remembered learning was, always study the industry.  Know what's coming up and who's doing what.

The 2^nd & FINAL Phone Call

I began to look at different companies.  Their compensation plans, stability, reputation (i.e., integrity), character and product.  While doing this, I received a another phone call from a close family member informing me about a company I was researching!  A very successful and humble gentleman from Atlanta, GA, whom I had previously met approximately 9 to 10 years ago, invited us to come take a look at the company he was involved in.
